Beautiful combination of new and ancient Irish Bog Oak

This wooden ring has been meticulously handcrafted from naturally dark prehistoric Irish Bog Oak and fresh golden Irish oak.

The Bog Oak is recovered from the peaty marshes of Ireland and may have lain undisturbed for almost 7000 years. The dark colour of the wood is formed by the starvation of oxygen and has lovely streaks of grey and golden flecks.

To secure the ring we incorporate an invisible layer of micro fibreglass between the Golden and dark Oak which creates an extremely strong structure. This is then infused with resin to give deep protection and allows the beauty of the wood to shine through.

This wooden ring design has excellent eco responsible credentials and would be perfect for a green wedding ceremony, natural engagement or as a special 5th wedding anniversary gift.

At 7mm wide by just over 2mm in depth, we can add a nice little personalised inscription on the fresh Oak internal liner eg initials or date or even a little heart or infinity symbol - please give inscription and ring size details when adding to bag in form.
